Well this may / may not be of interest to you, but i hacked out
how to get webalizer to take a clf file generated with proftpd.

Here's the directives needed :

LogFormat clf_default "%a - - %t \"GET %f\" 200 %b \"Ftp/Client\""
ExtendedLog /zerodivide/hosting/org/horde/logs/ftp_access_log read
clf_default
